Corey Pritchett

Corey completed a Bachelor of Secondary Education, a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Masters of Physical Education from Memorial University prior to completing a Bachelor of Science Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in 2002. He began his career in Springdale in 2002 working at the Green Bay Health Sciences Centre in a primarily outpatient orthopaedic setting. In addition, Corey has worked in outpatient orthopaedics at the Janeway and Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s.  He has worked at Nova Physiotherapy for 5 years, and is currently one of four co-owners.

Most of his post graduate work has been in the field of orthopaedics, manual/manipulative therapy techniques, acupuncture, Mackenzie Parts A and B, mobilization and neuro-orthopaedics, and muscle and movement impairment syndromes. In addition, courses in running, bike fit design and injury prevention.

Corey has presented to many business, physicians and athletic groups regarding injury prevention and the treatment of various conditions ranging from ankle sprains to posture related pains. For the past 2 years he has been invited to lecture at the provincial dentistry conference regarding the prevention of pain by individuals working in the dentistry profession.

Corey has been extensively involved in competitive sports all his life and played university volleyball and Canada Games Track and Field. His interest and participation in sports has led to a keen interest in rehabilitating sports related injuries. Leisurely, Corey partakes in running, touch football, weight training, golf, playing guitar, and most outdoor activities.
